On the way to World War 3?

All hell is breaking loose on the chessboard of geopolitics. Has the Third World War already broken out?

You might think so if you listen to our ‘leaders’. Nato chief Rutte is calling for a ‘war mentality’ and claims that the threat has taken on a ‘global character’.

According to him, it is no longer just about the war in Ukraine. Russia could attack Nato countries, and China, Iran and North Korea are also involved. A ‘hybrid war’ is also raging.

Rutte does not mention the fact that NATO has involved almost 60 countries in the ‘regional’ war in Eastern Europe via the so-called Ukraine Contact Group. Nor does he have any evidence of North Korean involvement in combat operations.

It is also remarkable that Rutte remains silent on Turkey’s involvement in the uprising in Syria. Special rules seem to apply to the NATO member. It had previously ensured ‘order’ in Nagorno-Karabakh…

Since Sultan Erdogan is being left to his own devices, he might be inclined to continue pursuing his neo-Ottoman dreams of great power status. Bulgaria and Cyprus are reportedly already on his wish list.

Meanwhile, the Middle East is being ‘reorganised’. Israel is preparing to take over Gaza and the West Bank; it is also occupying the Golan Heights – from now on ‘forever’.

The reaction? A resounding silence in the West.
