Investitionspaket: Wer bietet mehr?

Kurz bevor Kommissionschef Juncker am Montag seine erste konkrete Großtat – ein Investitionspaket über 300 Mrd. Euro – vorstellt, fordern Sozialdemokraten und Liberale schon mehr.

Die Sozialdemokraten wollen neues, frisches Geld sehen – und keine bloße Umbenennung längst eingetüteter Projekte. Die Liberalen gehen noch weiter, sie fordern 700 Mrd. Euro. Zitat von Fraktionschef Verhofstadt:

The liberal plan we presented yesterday, wants to raise private money via a European Investment Funds with a 20 per cent guarantee (combined member states, EIB and EFSM) and tax exemption on the revenues produced by the fund. We think such a scheme is much more ambitious and in line with the market. Moreover, we want the European Investment bank to take over 200 billion euro in investments from the member states so that they can lower their taxes for families and small businesses. This has to kick start our European economy in 2015 and not in six years time.

Damit knüpfen die Liberalen an eine Forderung des polnischen Finanzministers an, der ebenfalls 700 Mrd. gefordert hatte. Allerdings dürfte Juncker nicht so weit gehen.

Schließlich bremst Kanzlerin Merkel auch diesmal wieder nach Kräften. Sie will, dass das Paket schön aussieht, aber nichts kostet – wie schon bei Hollandes „Wachstumspakt“ vor zwei Jahren… – Mehr hier
